Ladies Academy for Beginners (LAB)
The Lady's Academy for Beginners (LAB) is a clinic specifically for women who are new to golf. The LAB at Juniper Golf Course will cover all aspects of the game, including where to go, how to check in, and even what to do once you're out on the course. Beverages will be available at each session. By the end of the four-week program, you will possess the necessary skills to join your friends without fear or intimidation the next time they head to the course on a beautiful sunny day!
Level 1 - Designed for a true beginner! We operate the Level 1 LAB class assuming the student has never held a golf club before and work our way up from there. This class is conducted entirely on our practice facility and will cover everything that a beginning student will need to know about playing golf - prior to actually golfing. By the end of week 4, the student should have a basic idea of the game and have the tools needed to practice and improve on their own. A glass of wine is included; class is conducted away from other golfers to reduce intimidation and it's an open forum where all questions are welcome and encouraged!
Level 2 - Our Level 2 LAB class is designed for someone who has either taken Level 1 or has had an introduction to the game of golf in the past. We do not recommend this class for someone who has never played or swung a golf club. In Level 2, we take you out on the golf course and allow you to continue to improve your skills while actually getting a feel for what playing golf is like. We talk about basic rules and etiquette as well as the dos and don'ts of being out on the course. A glass of wine is included in this class as well; you will be in smaller groups of 6 players to maximize learning and fun. As an added benefit of Level 2, after your class time is over, you may stay out on the golf course and continue to play until as late as sunset!
Level 3 – This level is designed to take all of the tools from Levels 1 and 2 and learn how to use them to improve scoring. This level will have an emphasis on more detailed full swing and short game mechanics, game management, and course management. The goal is by the end of the series students should feel confident to play full rounds of golf and implement the strategies to help lower their scores.
