“I’m a PGA apprentice currently working at Juniper in the golf operation. My golf journey began when my grandfather introduced me to golf when I was 13 years old. I started practicing diligently immediately, and played varsity golf locally at Mountain View High School. I’ve always had a strong passion for playing the game, but also for the business side of golf. In high school, I gained valuable golf retail experience at Pro Golf of Bend (currently Parscription Golf). Shortly afterwards, I turned professional working at familiar spots like Eagle Crest, Brasada Ranch, and Aspen Lakes.
My unique story includes suffering from 3 major strokes before the age of 18. Despite some limitations, my disabilities from the strokes (i.e. I have no feeling on the left side of my body) have made me creative and determined to improve my game. In 2023, I competed on the EDGA Tour/European Disabled Golf Association, playing all over Europe, including St. Andrews in Scotland. In 2022, I also competed in the USGA Inaugural Adaptive Open at Pinehurst #6. I’ve been extremely fortunate to see golfers with diverse disabilities play high-level golf and to compete against them.
I’ve been in the Golf business for almost 20 years now in Central Oregon…starting out in a little retail shop and then working at resort, private, and public courses. As my story indicates, I can help you overcome your limitations and enjoy the great game of golf as much as I do!”
