The Bruce Memorial Golf Tournament

Thank you for participating in the 3rd Annual “The Bruce” Memorial Golf Tournament, celebrating the life and commitment to golf that Bruce Wattenburger brought to Juniper over his 34 years with us.

This was one of Bruce’s signature events at Juniper, and in honoring his memory, we are keeping the tournament format true to his tradition.

100% of proceeds from this annual tournament will support Junior Golf Programming in Central Oregon, including equipment purchases, instruction, and camp scholarships.

Tournament Format

Three-player teams will compete in a 36-hole scramble format to determine gross and net champions in two divisions.

Teams may include any combination of players with no gender restrictions.

If a player does not have a current USGA index, they will be assigned a 0 index.

Maximum handicap differential: 12 strokes
Maximum individual handicap: 30

Team handicap will be calculated using the USGA recommended 30% / 20% / 10% method. Two numerically even divisions will be formed by team handicap.

Ties will be settled by scorecard runoff using the USGA modified method.

Entry Information

Tournament entry fee: $600 per team
Entry deadline: June 1
Field limited to the first 44 paid entries

Entry includes:

• Two tournament rounds
• Hosted lunch Saturday and Sunday
• Tee prize
• Equal gross and net prizes by division

Optional Skins / Honey Pot buy-in: $100 per team, covering both Saturday and Sunday.

Winnings will be paid in pro shop credits or designated prizes.

Handicap Information

June 4 handicaps will prevail.
GHIN number must be provided to verify handicaps.

Tee Assignments

Men
Black/Green: Less than 2.2
Green: 2.3 to 11.2
Green/White: 11.3 to 16.9
White: 17.0 to 30.0

Women
Gold/White: 5.5 or less
Gold: 5.6 to 10.2
Red: 10.3 to 30.0

Players age 65 and older may move up one tee.

Course Regulations

All players must wear non-metal spike shoes.
All player attire must conform to Juniper Golf Club’s dress code.

Sunday, June 7

8:30 AM: Shotgun start, Round 2 of the Scramble
Optional Honey Pot Game
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Hosted lunch and awards presentation
